PARK RULES, CANCELLATION POLICIES and COVID19 SAFETY PLAN (MAY CHANGE AT ANY TIME)

We welcome you to our family-friendly resort. We strive to provide you with the best possible service and in return, we ask you to follow our rules and regulations and respect the rights of other campers so they can enjoy the peace and quietness of our resort as well. If you like it here, please tell your family and friends and comment on our Facebook page. If you have any concerns, please contact the office immediately.

Any person who does not agree to follow the rules and regulations will be asked to leave the resort.

  • QUIET TIME: 10.00 pm- 08.00 am
  • MARIJUANA: not allowed on the resort property
  • DOGS must be kept on a leash at all times. Please clean up after them in all areas; there will be a penalty of $50 if you don’t. Doggy bags are available at the dog run and at the office.
  • MUSIC: Respect the peace and quiet of others, keep your noise to a minimum at all times
  • CAMPFIRES: max. of 50cm x 50cm allowed! Extinguish them before going to bed or leaving the resort
  • GARBAGE not allowed in fire pits, please use garbage bins in the designated areas
  • RECYCLING: please use our recycling stations
  • FIRE PITS have to stay where they are
  • WOOD BUNDLES can be purchased/picked up at the office, $7
  • WOOD out of our forest is private and not for guests
  • WASTE WATER: please use sani-dump or register for a pump-out ($15) at the office. Dumping on the ground, penalty $150.00
  • FIREWORKS, firearms, air guns and slingshots are prohibited
  • GENERATORS are not allowed
  • SEA DOOS/JET SKIES are not allowed
  • ATV’s have to be stored in our designated ATV parking area or on your truck/trailer; you are not allowed to ride them around the resort at any time
  • SHORE LINE SPEED RESTRICTIONS: please observe speed limit of 10km/h (6 mph) within 30 meters (100 ft) from shore
  • CARS, MOTORHOMES, TRAILERS must not be washed on the resort. Car wash at Interlakes Corner
  • POSTED ROAD SPEED REDUCTION has to be obeyed throughout the resort
  • BOAT- AND UTILITY TRAILERS must be stored in designated boat trailer storage areas
  • VISITORS have to call the office before arrival
  • VISITOR HOURS are from 8am – 10pm

COVID-19 Protocols & Procedures to follow by Provincial Health Guidelines, 2020

(subject to change without further notice)

INTRODUCTION

This document provides interim guidance for preventing the transmission of COVID-19 to LOON BAY RESORT employees and guests.

To limit the spread of COVID-19, the Provincial Health Officer has issued Orders that impact the hospitality industry. This document will outline new measures put into place across all departments and will be revised as needed based on provincial direction.

GUEST INFO

General Info

  • Safety of guests and our staff remains highest priority. We have implemented enhanced cleaning protocols for all common areas and surfaces.
  • A COVID-19 Code of Conduct document for you to adhere to while in our community and on our property needs to be signed upon arrival.
  • The office will remain closed for now. No contact check-in/check-out is in place. Shopping available by phone see below
  • Shower house and laundromat will remain closed until further notice

 Check-in/Check-out

  • The office implemented a no contact check-in and check-out process for all existing reservations. We will contact you by phone the day before arrival for further check-in information.
  • Payments can be made by e-transfer, Visa, or MC
  • A final invoice will be sent out to your email address the night before you leave. E-transfers have to be completed before you leave the resort.

 RV’s

  • Outhouses are open
  • Shower house and laundromat remains closed for all RV guests until further notice
  • “Honeywagon” service available Tuesdays and Fridays. Sign up the night before by 5pm.

Cabins

  • Guests have to bring their own kitchen supplies such as dishes, cutlery, pots etc, as we don’t have a commercial dishwasher in place to sanitize kitchen utensils as required by WorkSafeBC.
  • Microwave in Cab 1 & 2 only, stove, fridge & freezer are available in the cabins
  • Cabin 1, 2, 3 have limited access to the shower house
  • We provide mattress covers, tea towels, table cloth, dish soap & toilet paper

 Store

  • Tackle, flies, ice, wood, and other items can be ordered by phone at 250-593-4431 between 10am and 5pm. Orders will be ready for pick up in front of the office 10 minutes later. Items we sell can be found here
  • Rentals like boat, canoe, kayak and pedal boats are available, call the office to sign up

Garbage

  • Please bring your household garbage and cardboard to the blue dumpster bins near the resort entrance. Recyclables (bottles, cans, plastic, and tins…) can be dropped off right there as well into the designated bins.

 

GUEST COVID-19 CODE OF CONDUCT

You and your party agree to obey this Code of Conduct while at Loon Bay Resort.

SYMPTOMS: Should you experience any symptoms related to Covid-19 before your arrival, please stay home to avoid the spread of Covid-1

GATHERING OF PEOPLE AT YOUR SITE: In addition to the occupants, a maximum of 5 individuals are allowed to gather at your site at any given time. Larger gatherings are subject to approval by owner of Loon Bay Resort in advance of the gathering.

NON-REGISTERED VISITORS If you have non-registered individuals visiting you here at the resort, you must provide us with their phone number, email address and date when they plan to visit you here at the resort.

BE KIND AND SUPPORTIVE: Remember, we are all in this together. Please help create an enjoyable stay for everybody by being kind, supportive and respectful.

PERSONAL PROTECTION: Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds in warm water and soap frequently. As needed, bring along your personal protection Equipment (gloves, hand sanitizer etc.)

SOCIAL DISTANCING: You and your party must always maintain 2 meters of separation from anyone else at Loon Bay Resort.

PARENTAL SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN: Parents must ensure that their children maintain 2 meters of separation at all times from other children/people from other parties during your stay. Parents have to make sure that children do not use any playground …

IRREGULARITIES: If you come across someone not maintaining the 2-meter social distancing requirement, please remember that they may be in one household group. If someone infringes on your 2-meter distance, kindly remind them of the 2-meter rule.

 

RESERVATION POLICY does not apply during COVID19

Cabin reservations require a 1 night, non-refundable deposit upon reservation (VS or MC accepted);

RV Site reservations require a $40 non-refundable deposit upon reservation (VS or MC accepted);

CANCELLATION POLICY does not apply during COVID19

Cabin cancellation 31 or more days prior to arrival date is subject to a 1 night administration fee; cancellation 11 – 30 days prior to arrival date, 50% charge applies, cancellation 10 days or less of arrival date, 100% charge applies

RV Site cancellation 11 days or more prior to arrival date, is subject to $40 administration fee

RV cancellation 10 days or less prior to your arrival date, 100% charge applies.
