Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of our guests! 2010-11-15 Unsere 6. Saison ist zu Ende und wir moechten uns bei allen bedanken, die uns wahrend dieser Saison besucht haben mit dem Camper, dem Auto, dem Zelt oder die in einem unserer Cabins uebernachtet haben oder uns einfach so besucht haben. Wir freuen uns auf die naechste Saison und wuenschen allen eine gute Winterzeit und hoffentlich bis zum naechsten Jahr. Loon Bay Resort Familie Our 6th season is over and we would like to say thank you everybody for beeing here and staying with us. It is now time to enjoy the winter and the quieter time of the year. We hope seeing you again next year. Take care, Loon Bay Resort Family 2010-05-25 Kaum zu glauben! Larry fing am 25. Mai eine genau gleich schwere Regenbogenforelle wie Ryan am 23. Mai. Beide wogen 12 3/4lbs. Larry fing seine Forelle mit einer gruenen Fliege und Ryan mit einem Wurm. Am 29. Juni wurde ein Fisch von 6 1/4 lbs. gefangen und am 26. Juni sogar einer, der 9 lbs. auf die Waage gebracht hat. Can you believe it? Another fish with exactly the same weight came out of Sheridan Lake on the morning of May 25th. Larry caught this fish this time. It is nice to be able to show two of our guests with these nice rainbow trouts on the same picture. Larry caught his fish on a green fly and Ryan on a worm. Come out and go for the big one as well! There was another nice fish coming out on June 29th, with 6 1/4 lbs and an other one on June 26th who was 9 lbs. Most people are fishing with flies right now and seem to do just fine. 2010-05-24 Nach einem eher kuehlen und regnerischen Wochenende haben wir hier eine neue Rekordforelle vorzustellen. Ryan fing diesen wunderschoenen Fisch mit einem Wurm als Koeder am 23. Mai. After a cold and rainy long weekend, we have to show you a really nice and big rainbow trout, which was caught by Ryan. The scale showed 12 3/4 lbs.!!!! He was using worm and caught this nice fish on May 23rd. Well done, Ryan! 2010-05-15 Wir haben die neue Saison schon frueher eroeffnet als erwartet, da das Wetter dieses Jahr so gut mitgespielt hat, konnten wir bereits die ersten Reisenden bei uns begruessen. Der erste grosse Fisch (Regenbogenforelle) wurde auch schon gefangen. Er brachte 11 Pfund auf die Waage! Dies ist schon einmal ein guter Start, oder? The new season just started and the first big one was caught already on May 12th by Rob. His rainbow trout was 11 lbs. and he used a meal worm! Fishing is really good right now. Many people caught fish 4 lbs. and over already. The first guests arrived a few days ago and are enjoying now the nice and beautiful weather up here. Hopefully it will stay for a while! 2010-01-15 Nun wie die Zeit rennt!! Nun sind wir wieder in den Vorbereitungen für die neue Saison. Plätze bereitmachen, Holz bereitstellen, Frühlingsputz der Cabins, neue Docks, Office einrichten, Strasse ausbessern,... Am 15. Mai geht es dann offiziell wieder los. Das Eis ist verschmolzen und das Angeln kann wieder losgehen! After all the snow has gone and the new season is coming up pretty soon, we are working around the resort to be ready for the upcoming season. The ice is off and the new season will begin soon. 2009-12-20 Wir bedanken uns herzlich bei allen Besuchern, die Ferien auf unserem Resort gemacht haben. Wir hoffen, Sie wieder einmal bei uns willkommen zu heissen. Ihnen allen frohe Weihnachten und alles Gute im Neuen Jahr! May the peace and joy of the holiday season be with you throughout the coming year. 2009-09-29 Nun wird es auch bei uns sehr ruhig, die letzten Trailer und Motorhome sind weggefahren und wir bereiten das Resort auf den Winter vor. Wasserleitungen ausblasen, Cabins schliessen, alles wegraeumen, was dem Schnee und den Temperaturen nicht stand haelt. Wir haben noch bis zum 15. Oktober offen auch fuer Trailer und Motorhome und die Cabins sind noch bis Ende Oktober offen, bevor dann auch wir eine Pause einlegen werden. Len haelt immer noch den Rekord mit seiner gefangenen Regenbogenforelle im Juni 2009. It is getting really quiet up here. The last trailers, motorhomes and tents moved out since the temperatures are going below 0 now during the night. The weather is still pretty nice and warm during the day. We are working most of the time outside now to winterize the resort but we are still open until October the 15th for campers and to the end of October for the winter cabins. Len is still on our top list with his record rainbow trout which he caught in June 2009. 2009-08-13 Die Zeit vergeht wie im Fluge, und die ersten Anzeichen des Herbstes sind zu sehen. Die Temperaturen kehren wieder zum Normalen zurueck und bald wird auch das Angeln wieder besser werden! Endlich hat es auch ein paar Regenguesse gegeben, die sehr wichtig waren, sind doch die Boeden immer noch sehr trocken. Len's Fisch ist immer noch der Groesste der Saison. Vielen Dank allen Besuchern, die uns waehrend des Sommers besucht haben. Fuer jene, die ihre Reise erst noch vor sich haben, koennen uns noch bis zum 15. Oktober besuchen. Time is flying by and the first impressions of fall showed up with some morning fog patches over the lake. We have got some rain finally and a drop in temperatures will hopefully make the fishing better again. Len is so far the winner with his big catch of 13 lbs.! The last few weeks were absolutely slow for fishing. No wonder with these temperatures! Fish were sitting right down in the holes, waiting for cooler water temperatures. We would like to thank everybody who came out and stayed with us during our 5th summer season. If your holiday is not over yet, come out, we are still open until October 15th for camping and year round with the log cabins. 2009-06-05 Die Fischsaison ist nun definitiv eröffnet. Len fing am 5. Juni eine 13 Pfund Regenbogenforelle. Dies ist der grösste Fisch dieser Saison, der bis jetzt gefangen wurde. Gratuliere Len! Im Moment fängt man grosse Fische mit Chironomids; Mal sehen, ob noch ein grösserer Fisch dieses Jahr das Rennen gewinnen wird oder ob Len's Fisch der grösste bleibt für diese Saison! The fishing season has definitely started. Len caught this nice rainbow trout on June the 5th. The scale showed 13lbs! He is joining now our HALL OF FAME TEAM. Chironomids are working well right now.
